Itachi Uchiha= Itachi Uchiha is part of The Akatsuki's deadly team, and is also the 2nd known Uchiha to be living, apart from his brother. He once massacred his entire clan except for his little brother, Sasuke Uchiha, challenging him to kill him. He is paired up with Kisame Hoshigaki, to which they are good partners, and he also wields the mangenkyo sharingan, a deadly force in his eyes. His signature techniques include the tsuykomi, where he puts his target in an illusion of torture, and his amaratsu, where he creates a black fire hotter than the sun.





Kisame Hoshigaki= Kisame Hoshigaki is part of the deadly Akatsuki team and is paired up with Itachi Uchiha. His appearence resembles a shark, as does his jutsu. He is a member of the seven swordsman of the mist, and his sword is called shark fin, which can steal chakra and shaves rather than cuts. Kisame Hoshigaki is a very boasting ninja, for he usually plays with his opponets before killing them. His signature techniques are his sword shark fin, with which he can do multiple attacks, and his water jutsu, to which his skill is one of the best. He also has the most chakra in the entire Akatsuki.


Zetsu=A mysterious one, to be sure. Not much is known about him. He seems to have two personalities, which makes some sense considering the two sides of his face are different colors. A large plant somehow grows around his head, and he is incredibly fast.



Deidara= Partner of Sasori, he is a missing-nin from the Rock village. He has a scope covering his left eye, giving him a huge advantage in spying. His main interest is art, which he and sasori constantly argue over. He has a strange jutsu where he uses clay from a pouch he carries, and feeds it to mouths that are present on both of his hands, sculpting the clay inside his own arms. These sculptures can then be controlled by Deidara and often contain explosives which he can set off by using his chakra.



Sasori= A puppeteer like Kankuro, with two exceptions- Sasori makes the puppets, and is also much more skilled in controlling them. Sometimes known as the scorpion of the red sand, he follows Deidara around in an unusual fashion, crouched over and kneeling, somehow moving across the ground. He also has a disturbing habit of making his puppets out of the bones of dead humans. He made both of Kankuro's puppets.



Leader= Not much is known, but there are many speculations, including that it may just be the fourth hokage himself, and that he somehow survived the death reaper. This makes some sense, considering he has the same sillouette as the Fourth. There are also others who believe his name is Pien, and is in no way associated with the fourth. This is all speculation of course, and very few facts are actually know about this shady character. The only few facts that are known are he has brown-red hair and that he has blue eyes.



Konan= Not much is known about this Akatsuki member. What is known is that she has blue hair with a flower in it as well she is also the only female in the Akatsuki. Her
only known techinque is when she separates into paper and becomes origami butterflies.



Tobi= Undoubtedly the most annoying member, he can often be caught saying "Tobi is a good boy." He always seems to refer to himself in 3rd person. It is suggested that tobi is actually another character in this series, somehow alive after a horrific accident. If you think about it this way, if someone was stuttering, 'obi...obi...to....Tobi!' But of course, this is only more speculation, based on the fact that there is only an eye hole on the right side of his mask. In the manga he refures to him self as Madara Uchiha but this could not be true and in could just be to hide who he really is.




Hidan= Part of a cult, he constantly wears his pendant symbolizing it. It so happens that he is invincible, and any damage he takes, no matter how serious, he can always regenerate....of course, the body parts all need to be together to do this. His weapon of choice seems to be a lethal 3-bladed scythe. He is apparently the partner to Kakuzu.




Kakuzu= This is probably the biggest thief you'll find on the series. Besides that, not much is known about him, besides that he originates from the hidden waterfall village. It would seem that he and Hidan are partners.

Unnamed Subordinate His name is unknown but he was the subordinate of the puppet master Sasori. He was a replacement used in a shapeshifting jutsu and took on the shape of Kisame as a diversion to hold off Gai, Rock Lee, Tenten, and Neji from entering into Akatsuki's Lair while they extracted the Bijuu out of of Gaara. He was eventually killed by Gai when he was in the form of Kisame.

Yuura= Served as a trusted member of the Kazekage advisory council of the Hidden Sand Village for four years. In reality, he was a sleeper agent for Akatsuki and a subordinate of Sasori. He was used as a replacement in a shapeshifting jutsu, taking on the shape of Itachi Uchiha to hold off Kakashi, Naruto, Sakura, and Chiyo from entering into Akatsuki's Lair while they extracted the Bijuu out of of Gaara. He was eventually killed by Naruto's Rasengan when in the form of Itachi.
